Abstract

A digital equilibrium temperature model for the simulation of the diurnal surface thermal and energy transfer regimes is presented together with a discussion of the modifications, necessary to achieve realistic simulations and numerical stability. In addition, application examples and the details of the convergence tests at point and areal scales are presented.
