Abstract

This paper uses a multivariate statistical technique to examine the possible relationships between theatmosphere and the ocean. Fifteen upper air stations and seventeen water temperature sampling sites werefactor analyzed. Several of the west coast water stations had high factor loadings on the same factor withseveral of the upper air sites.
