Abstract
Nongeometrically corrected scanning radiometer images are difficult to interpret due to their non-congruence with the standardized weather charts. If subsatellite positions at given times are known (e.g., from APT predicts or satellite orbit parameters), conversion of the SR geometry into the stereographic projection geometry is feasible. With the aid of a simple analog processor, an in-line converter has been realized. Possible geometric correction errors are briefly discussed.
