Abstract

We present a computationally convenient method whereby system designers can generate multidimensional meteorological fields for simulation modeling. The procedure, based in digital filtering, efficiently produces large numbers of fields for Monte Carlo simulation and provides some flexibility in matching specific atmospheric conditions. We applied this method in the feasibility study of a satellite laser radar wind observing system.
