Abstract

An attempt to simplify the method suggested by Kazakov and Lazriyev for surface layer parameterization is done by curve fitting. As a result, based on the Monin-Obukhov surface layer similarity theory, well-known reliable experimental data, and semiempirical functions, simple parameterization formulae for heat and moisture transfer coefficients and for the friction coefficient are obtained at the upper boundary of the surface layer.
