A Proposed Temperature Element on the Canadian Radiosonde

A radiosonde temperature element consisting of two exactly similar bimetal elements, one silver plated and one blackened is described. If the two elements are mounted so that they received equal radiation and ventilation the true ambient temperature may be determined to a probable accuracy of ± 0.5° C.
