† Proposed amendments to the Constitution and By-Laws of the American Meteorological Society were published in the Vol. 69, No. 2 February 1988 Bulletin. An explanatory letter to members with specific changes to both the Constitution and By-Laws was included. The actual proposals will be formally submitted to the membership with the annual mail ballot in the fall of 1988.
