From terminals at their college campuses, undergraduate and graduate students can access the CRAY Y-MP8/864 at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, Colorado, to run models as part of their classroom assignments. Professors in a variety of disciplines have incorporated hands-on supercomputing experience into their classes, thanks to special grants of computing time from Cray Research, Inc.
