Abstract

The surface sticks associated with a packet of internal waves with a horizontal wavelength of about 400 m propagating in deep water in the Rockall Trough have been observed on a standard ship's navigation radar. Simultaneous in situ measurements indicate that the slicks lie above the internal wave troughs.
