In addition to this, our results support a connection between NHJ variability and ocean–atmosphere interactions over the North Pacific Ocean; we found significant correlations between winter and spring NHJ indices for cores 5 and 6 and PNA and ENSO patterns ( Table S2 , Figure 2 ).
