Abstract
An attempt is made to correlate differences in raindrop size-spectra of continuous warm-front rainfall measured at various locations with the differences in condensation nucleus concentrations at the measuring sites. The parameter, n, appearing in the distribution function proposed by Best (1950) has been examined, and a consistent variation found between it, as determined from the spectra of continuous warm-front rainfalls, and the most likely nucleus concentration at the measuring site. Measurements specifically designed to investigate this relationship should be made.
