Abstract

By means of the Schaefer “wet slide” method, applied to a standard 7.5 cm × 2.5 cm glass slide, an inexpensive, continuous ice crystal replicator has been developed which produces replicas of good quality for sampling times of up to 3 min, with a time resolution approaching ±5 s.
