Abstract

The relation between wind speed, atmospheric stability and plume rise at a distance of 2.5 km from a source region is investigated. The pollution measured in Montreal, Canada, originated from an industrial complex composed mainly of oil refineries. A comparison is made with Briggs formulation of plume rise from a single source.
