Because of a production error in “A Robust Numerical Solution of the Stochastic Collection–Breakup Equation for Warm Rain,” by Olivier P. Prat and Ana P. Barros, which appeared in the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology, Vol. 46, No. 9, 1480–1497, the incorrect variable Ecoal (coalescence efficiency) appeared in print in three places on p. 1482 instead of the correct variable Ecoll (collision efficiency). The corrected Eq. (3) should read as
In addition, the remainder of the paragraph that appears further down immediately below Eq. (4) should read ”… where V is in centimeters per second and d, the diameter of the drop, is in centimeters; Ecoll(υ, υ′) is the collision efficiency. For the drop sizes considered in this study (d ≥ 0.01 cm), Ecoll(υ, υ′) = 1, as per Long (1974).“

The staff of the Journal of Applied Meteorology and Climatology regrets any inconvenience this error may have caused.
