Progress in weather modification is assessed with special emphasis on precipitation modification. Although assessment of progress on a current basis is difficult, an attempt is made to accomplish this on both a problem and a component scale. Much work is being conducted which should significantly improve our ability to increase precipitation in specific targets and minimize risks associated with modification activities.
