Two contradictory books, one by Wilcox and the other by Calder, attempt projections of evolution of climate. The former foresees a hotter earth; the latter, a colder one. Both of them show gross misunderstanding of climatogenesis. The level of knowledge is not yet adequate for such forecasts. But the need to anticipate climatic fluctuations and changes is so great that a far greater effort than in the past to solve the problems is needed and warranted.
