There is an error in the color scale bar of Fig. 1b of Bitz et al. (2006), which displays the change in 2-m surface air temperature resulting from a transient increase in carbon dioxide to twice the level of the 1990s. The interval on the color bar labels in Fig. 1b is off by a factor of 2: the labels were −1, −0.5, 0, 0.5, 1, 1.5, and 2, but should have been −1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5.
